COVID-19 & Photoshoots 

The health and well being of my clients has always been my top priority, so here’s a little bit of information to help ease your mind.  

 

Are you still taking bookings?

Yes, I am now taking bookings, as most of my clients will book well in advance. However, due to the Coronavirus - COVID 19 I am following government guidance on social distancing and will monitor government guidance regularly.

 

Can I buy a Gift Voucher?

Perfect for those wanting to book a photoshoot but prefer to wait till things settle down again. Giving your family or friend something wonderful to look forward to.

 

What measures are you taking with regard to COVID 19?

I am adhering to government advice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect your family and my own family. I will be observing the 2m or 1m+ with appropriate PPE, social distancing measures advised by the government. Hand sanitiser will be available.

 

What happens if COVID 19 affects my family photoshoot going ahead?

I will carefully manage the rebooking of all postponed photoshoots; if COVID-19 government guidelines and restrictions mean we cannot carry out your photoshoot, I will postpone or offer you an alternative photoshoot session or worst case offer a refund; the alternative session offered may be different to the photoshoot session you originally booked, but will be a lovely photoshoot for you and/or your family to look forward to.

 

Current Gov Guidlines Aug 2020:

 

"You should only be socialising in groups of up to two households (including your support bubble) indoors and outdoors or up to six people from different households when outdoors.

More generally, you can continue to meet in larger groups if necessary for work, voluntary or charitable services, education, childcare or training, elite sporting competition or training, to fulfil legal obligations, to provide emergency assistance, or to enable someone to avoid illness, injury or risk of harm.

It is otherwise against the law for gatherings of more than 30 people to take place in private homes (including gardens and other outdoor spaces)." 

 

 

 

 

Wedding Photography Frequently Asked Questions 

 

Do you have insurance?

 

Yes, I am fully insured with Public Liability Insurance as well as Professional Indemnity Insurance.

 

 

Why do I have to sign a contract?


It’s simply an agreement between us, for me to agree with you the service I will provide and the payment you will make for that service, you will receive a signed copy for your records.

 

 

What travel is included?

 

My wedding photography fees cover all my travel within a 20mile radius of my home in the Lake District.

I do travel beyond this distance but there will be additional travel costs involved and this will be agreed at the time of booking.

 

 

What if it rains on our wedding day?

 

It’s known to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day!

I bring along a couple of cream wedding umbrellas, so if your willing and it’s not a complete downpour we can still capture some magical moments of you both in the grounds of your venue on your big day. 

If it is extreme weather then of course we can arrange any group shots etc inside your venue.

 

 

Do you require a meal at our wedding?

 

That really is up to you both! For a full day I will need to eat a hot meal and take a short break…whether I am included within your numbers as a guest to eat, or whether I grab something from a bar meal menu separate is entirely up to you.

Having a meal at the same time as you makes things far more easier, from my experience people don’t like photos while they eat and its not very flattery, so this is an ideal point for a break, I would then be ready to continue shooting when you’ve also both eaten.

 

 

Do I get raw files?

 

No. As the client you will receive high-resolution Jpg photographs, edited in a manor reflective of my style and aesthetic.

 

The original photo file (known as a raw file) is basically the foundation that allows me to create my finalised photo style. It’s like asking a chef for the ingredients and not the final dish!

It is solely for my office use only; I can assure you your final photographs will be beautiful and natural matching my approach to wedding photography.

 

 

How many photographs will I recieve?

 

It is difficult to give you an exact number since the number of photographs taken depends on many things...the number of guests, hours of coverage, any planned events etc.

I do not limit the number of photographs I take on your wedding day and I will supply you with the best photos.

 

 

When do you require payment?

 

I ask for a fee of £100, at the time of booking, which secures your date. The outstanding balance is then due anytime until 3 weeks prior to your date.

 

 

How long will it take to get our Wedding Photographs afterwards?

 

I work hard to make sure that your wedding photographs are ready as soon as possible without compromising on quality. I aim to have your wedding photographs completed within 4 weeks from your wedding date but more often than not it is less than this. Will vary with peek periods, I will however keep you informed.

 

 

How do I book?

 

Firstly, Check my availability either through my website contact page or direct with myself.

Secondly, get in touch! I like to meet my clients for a ‘no obligation’ chat to discuss their requirements and learn about their day. This is a good way for me to get to know you, and you to get to know me as well. In order to secure your wedding date, you will need to fill out a booking form and sign a wedding contract and pay the booking fee, then make a note to pay the remaining balance up until 2 weeks prior to your day.  

We can keep in touch as little or often as you wish before the big day.
